The Intelligence Bureau is India’s domestic internal security and counter-intelligence agency under Ministry of Home Affairs. It was founded in 1887 as Central Special Branch, and is reputed to be the oldest such organization in the world.

Position: – Security Assistant/Executive & Multi-Tasking Staff

Qualification/ Experience: –  

• Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education,
• Possession of domicile certificate of that State against which candidate has applied.
• Knowledge of any one of the local language/dialect mentioned in Table ‘A’ above against each SIB.
• Desirable:Field experience in Intelligence work (Only for Security Assistant/Executive)

Age Limit Not exceeding 27 years as on 25.11.22: –

• 18-25 years as on 25.11.22
• Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & by 3 years for OBC candidates.
• Upper age limit is relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular & continuous service. This relaxation is applicable only to Central Govt. Civilian employees holding civil posts & not applicable to personnel working in PSUs, Autonomous/Statuary bodies, etc.
• The age limit is relaxable up to age of 35 years for general candidates & up to 40 years for SC/ST in case of widows, divorced women & women judicially separated from their husbands & not remarried.
• The age limit is relaxable for ex-servicemen as well as for the children & dependents of victims of riots of 2002 in Gujarat& Sikh riots of 1984 as per the Govt. instructions in this regard issued from time to time.

Salary: –

Security Assistant/Executive:

• Level-3 (Rs. 21700-69100) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.

MTS/Gen:

• Level-1 (Rs. 18000-56900) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.

 Selection Process Intelligence Bureau IB Recruitment 2022: –

Scheme of Examination:

• The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Tier-II is 20 out of 50 for SA/Exe and 16 out of 40 for MTS/Gen.

• It is in 02 components (Examination Fee: Rs. 50/- & Recruitment Processing Charges: Rs. 450/-)
