Brief Information :- IIA Recruitment 2021 – The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) invited the online application form from the eligible candidates for the post of Junior Technical Assistant/Junior Research Assistant/Mechani/Research Trainee/ Engineer Trainee There is11 vacancy is to be filled for this post. Candidates with the qualification of B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc /BCA/MCA/Diploma / ITI are eligible to apply for this job.The selection process is based on theinterview. Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) is an autonomous academic national institution under Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India dedicated to research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Allied Sciences & Technology. The Institute has its main campus in Koramangala, Bangalore and CREST Campus at Hosakote, Bangalore. It operates field stations at Kavalur & Kodaikanal in Tamilnadu, Gauribidanur in Karnataka, and Leh/Hanle in Union Territory of Ladakh.

Qualification / Experience :-

Junior Technical Assistant (Electronics):

Diploma in Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering (3 Year Full time) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from Central/State Government/ AICTE recognized institute.

Junior Technical Assistant (Electronics):

Diploma in Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering (3 Year Full time) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from Central/State Government/ AICTE recognized institute.

Junior Technical Assistant (Electronics):

Diploma in Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering (3 Year Full time) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from Central/State Government/ AICTE recognized institute.

Junior Research Assistant (Observations):

B.Sc in Physics/ Maths/ Chemistry/ Information Technology/ Electronics or BCA or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized university / institute.

Junior Research Assistant (Observations):

B.Sc in Physics/ Maths/ Chemistry/ Information Technology/ Electronics or BCA or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized university / institute.

Junior Research Assistant (Observations):

B.Sc in Physics/ Maths/ Chemistry/ Information Technology/ Electronics or BCA or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized university / institute.

Mechanic ‘A’:

SSLC with two years NCTVT certificate course (ITI) in the trade of Carpenter with at least 60% marks from a Govt. recognized Industrial Training Institute.

Research Trainee (Optics):

Essential: B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc or equivalent in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication/Computer Science/IT with a recommended minimum of 60%* marks from a recognized University/Institution.

BCA/MCA with minimum of 60%* marks from a recognized University/Institution.Percentage of marks is relaxable if candidate’s technical experience is exceptional

Engineer Trainee (IT Support):

Essential: B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc or equivalent in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication/Computer Science/IT with a recommended minimum of 60%* marks from a recognized University/Institution.

BCA/MCA with minimum of 60%* marks from a recognized University/Institution.Percentage of marks is relaxable if candidate’s technical experience is exceptional.

Age Limit :-

26 to 30 Years
Age relaxation is permissible to SC, ST & OBC candidates and also to physically handicapped candidates as notified by Govt. of India from time to time.

Salary :-

Junior Technical Assistant (Electronics) – Level 4
Mechanic ‘A’ – Level 2
Engineer Trainee/ Research Trainee – 30,000/-

Job Location :- Bangalore/ Tamil Nadu

Selection Process :-

Selection to post/s will be on the basis of initial screening, and then qualifying in the Written &/or Skill test. Where the number of applications received in response to the Advertisement is large and it will not be convenient or possible for the IIA to conduct test to all those candidates, the IIA has the right to limit the candidates to be called for test on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the Advertisement.
