North Eastern Railway Recruitment: North Eastern Railway came into existence on 14thApril 1952, when two complete Railway Systems viz. Oudh Tirhoot Railway & Assam Railway and Fatehgarh District of BB & CI Railway were merged into one system and was inaugurated by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru.It stretched from Achnera near Agra in the West to Ledo near the border of West Bengal in the East.
On 15thJanuary 1958, it was divided into two Zones (i) the North East Frontier Railway and (ii) the North Eastern Railway with headquarter at Gorakhpur, comprising of five Divisions viz. Izatnagar, Lucknow, Varanasi, Samastipur and Sonepur.

Qualification:
- The candidate should have already passed the prescribed qualification of High School/10th with minimum 50% marks & ITI in notified trade on the date of issue of notification. i.e. 12.06.2024
Experience: Freshers
- Age Limit:
- The candidates must not be less than 15 years of age and not more than 24 years of age as on 12.06.2024.
- In the case of SC/ST candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years and in the case of OBC candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years. For Divyang candidates maximum 10 years age relaxation is permitted.
Salary: As per Apprentices Act, 1961 rules
