 POWERGRID operates around 1,77,790 ckm Transmission Lines along with 278 Sub-Stations (as on 31 July 2024) and wheels about 50% of total power generated in the country through its transmission networks. POWERGRID also owns & operates around approximately 1,00,000 kms of telecom network, with points of presence in approx. 3000 and intra-city network in 500 cities across India.

Position: Junior Engineer, Surveyor, Draughtsman

• Junior Engineer Grade III – 15 Posts
• Surveyor Grade IV – 15 Posts
• Draughtsman Grade IV – 08 Posts

Qualification/ Experience:

Junior Engineer (Survey Engineering) Gr-III/ S2:

• Full-Time Regular Three Years Diploma in Survey Engineering OR Diploma in Civil Engineering (with survey as a subject) from recognized Technical Board / Institute having minimum 70% marks Higher technical qualification like B.E./B.Tech etc. with or without Diploma, is not allowed either at the time of application or at the time of joining.
• Should have at least Four (4) years post qualification working experience in surveying in Transmission line with Total station/ DGPS/ Drones/ LIDAR survey operation.

 Surveyor Gr-IV/ W4:

• Full-Time Regular Two Years ITI (Surveyor) from a recognized technical board/ Institute
• Qualification should be recognized in India and from Govt approved ITIs. / National Council for Vocational Education and Training/ State Council for Vocational Training)
• Higher technical qualification like Diploma/B.E./B. Tech etc. with or without ITI, is not allowed either at the time of application or at the time of joining
• (Candidates will have to submit proof in support of above wages – wage slip/ account statement/ Form 16/ certificate of employer)
• Should have at least Five (5) years post qualification working experience in surveying in Transmission line with Total station/DGPS/ Drones/ LIDAR survey operation.

 Draughtsman Gr-IV/ W4:

• Full-Time Regular Two Years ITI (Draughtsman Civil) / ITI (Architectural Draughtsman) from a recognized technical board/ Institute.
• Qualification should be recognized in India and from Govt approved ITIs. / National Council for Vocational Education and Training/ State Council for Vocational Training)
• Higher technical qualification like Diploma/B.E./B.Tech etc. with or without ITI, is not allowed either at the time of application or at the time of joining

Salary:

• Junior Engineer Grade III – Rs. 26,000 – 1,18,000/-
• Surveyor Grade IV – Rs 22,000 – 85,000/-
• Draughtsman Grade IV – Rs 22,000 – 85,000/-

 Age Limit:

• Junior Engineer Grade III – 31 Yeras
• Surveyor Grade IV – 32 Years
• Draughtsman Grade IV – 32 years

 Selection Process:

• Selection will be based on a Computer Test, Aptitude Test, Document Verification, & Medical Examination.
