Position : Sourcing Engineer

Qualification : BE Mechanical Engg or Diploma

Experience : 4 – 9 Years

Job location : Bangalore / Bengaluru

Job description :-

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop ideas and Sourcing strategies for executing operational and cost efficiencies, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement
• Source of components for Tractor and Tillers Grey Iron, SG iron, Steel Casting and Aluminum PDC , GDC Process along with Machining
• Price estimation of new parts and update info records approvals and po release(part/VT)
• Negotiation of Pattern- Core box and Machining Tool cost, Components cost as per Zero Based costing structure
• Supporting R&D for every new Product by sourcing suitable vendor to contain component cost less than our target cost and Making project plan inline to the overall souring plan.
• Value Analysis and Value Engineering for Casting and Machining components to reduce overall target cost of BOM with the support of product engineer
• De-risking the vendor and developing the existing part with strategic suppliers to reduce vendor base.
• Cost Saving through Negotiation, Alternate Source, Alternate Process, Localization, MPP Reduction and SOB Allocation
