Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is the 18th railway zone in India. NFR is headquartered in Maligaon, Guwahati, in the state of Assam. NFR is responsible for rail operations in the Northeast Bihar and West Bengal. Northeast Frontier Railway was divided into five divisions: Lumding, Rangiya, Katihar, Alipurduar and Tinsukia.

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced notification for the Sports Quota post in various events/games. There are 24 vacancies available for this post. Candidates with 10th/12th/ITI/Any Degree qualifications can apply for this job. Level 5 or 4: (Women/Men):

• Weightlifting – 01
• Golf – 01
• Boxing – 02
• Cycling – 01

Level 3 or 2: (Women/Men):

• Cricket – 03
• Boxing – 01

Level 1: (Women/Men):

• Badminton –  05
• Cricket –  03
• Football – 04
• Golf: 01
• Table Tennis – 02

Qualification:

• Level 5 or 4: Graduate or equivalent examination passed from a recognised university/institution
• Level 3 or 2: Passed Class 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent examination from a government-recognized board/council/institution is required.
• Level 1: Passed Class 10th (matriculation), ITI, equivalent, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Experience: Freshers

Age Limit:

• For Level 5 or 4: 18 to 25 years (As on 01 July 2024)
• For Level 3 or 2: 18 to 25 years (As on 01 January 2024)
• For Level 1: 18 to 25 years (As on 01 January 2024)

Salary:

• For Level 5 or 4: Rs. 2,800/2,400 (Grade Pay)
• For Level 3 or 2: Rs. 2000/1900 (Grade Pay)
• For Level 1: Rs. 1800 (Grade Pay)

Job Location: Across India

Selection Process:

Maximum marks which can be awarded by the Trial Committee for performance during the Trial and Recruitment Committee during the Interview stage shall be as follows:

• For game skill, physical fitness & coach’s observations during trials: 40 marks
• For assessment of recognized Sports Achievements as per norms: 50 Marks
• Educational Qualification: 10 Marks
