About ISRO: India decided to go to space when Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR) was set up by the Government of India in 1962. With the visionary Dr Vikram Sarabhai at its helm, INCOSPAR set up the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS) in Thiruvananthapuram for upper atmospheric research.

Indian Space Research Organisation, formed in 1969, superseded the erstwhile INCOSPAR. Vikram Sarabhai, having identified the role and importance of space technology in a Nation’s development, provided ISRO the necessary direction to function as an agent of development. ISRO then embarked on its mission to provide the Nation space based services and to develop the technologies to achieve the same independently.

Technical Assistant:

• Mechanical – 10 Posts
• Electrical – 01 Post

Technician ‘B’:

• Welder – 01 Post
• Electronic Mechanic – 02 Posts
• Turner – 01 Post
• Mechanic Auto Electrical and Electronics – 01 Post
• Fitter – 05 Posts
• Machinist – 01 Post
• Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’ – 05 Posts
• Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’ – 02 Posts
• Cook – 01 Post

Qualification/ Experience:

• Mechanical: Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with First Class.
• Electrical: Diploma in Electrical Engineering with First Class.

Technician ‘B’:

• Welder – SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/ NAC in Welder Trade from NCVT
• Electronic Mechanic – SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/ NAC in Electronic Mechanic Trade from NCVT
• Turner – SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/NAC in Turner Trade from NCVT
• Mechanic Auto Electrical and Electronics – SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/NAC in Mechanic Auto Electrical and Electronics Trade from NCVT
• Fitter – SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/ NAC in Fitter Trade from NCVT
• Machinist – SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/NAC in Machinist Trade from NCVT

Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’:

• Pass in SSLC/ SSC/ Matric/ 10th Std.
• 5 years experience, out of which minimum 3 years as Heavy Vehicle Driver and the balance period driving experience of Light Motor Vehicle

Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’:

• Pass in SSLC/ SSC/ Matric/ 10th Std.
• 3 years experience as Light Vehicle Driver

Cook:

• SSLC/SSC pass
• 5 years experience in a similar capacity (as Cook) in a well established Hotel/Canteen

Age Limit (As on 10 September 2024): 18 to 35 years

Age Relaxation: 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates

Salary:

• Technical Assistant –  Rs. 44,900/- to 1,42,400/-
• Technician ‘B’ – Rs. 21,700/- to 69,100/-
• Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’ –  Rs. 19,900/- to 63,200/-
• Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’ – Rs. 19,900/- to 63,200/-
• Cook –  Rs. 19,900/- to 63,200/-

• Online Test (CBT)
