South Eastern Railway It is a part of Eastern Railways and one of the 18 railway zones in India. Its headquarters are in West Bengal, Kolkata, India and Garden Reach. South Railway also runs regular electric multiple units services to areas adjacent to Kolkata, Amta, Medinipur, Howrah to Kharagpur, Santragachi to Shalimar, Balasore Rourkela and Tatanagar. When the erstwhile Bengal Nagpur Railway portion was separated, a new zone of the South Eastern Railway came into existence on 1 August 1995.

Qualification:
- Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder/ Electrician/Electronics Mechanic/Fitter/Heat Engine/Instrument Mechanic/Machinist/Mechanic Diesel/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Millwright Maintenance Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Refrigeration and Airconditioning Mechanic/Tractor Mechanic/Turner/Wireman OR
- Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above OR
- Three years Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering OR
- Combination – of various streams of these Engineering disciplines: from a recognized Institution instead of ITl.
Experience: Freshers
Age Limit:
- 18 to 42 years for (General)
- 18 to 47 years for (SC/ST)
- 18 to 45 years for (OBC)
Age Relaxation:
- No age relaxation is allowed to SC/ST/OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates applying against unreserved vacancies.
Salary: Rs. 5200 – 20,200/-

Selection Process:
- Selection will be based on a Computer Test, Aptitude Test, Document Verification, & Medical Examination.
