UPSC Recruitment 2022

UPSC is a Constitutional Body under Article 315-323 Part XIV Chapter II of the Constitution of India to discharge their duties, functions and obligations assigned under Article 320. The UPSC  conducts various examinations  in accordance with the Rules of examination as notified by the Government of India in a just, fair and impartial manner  for making a merit based selection and recommendation of candidates for various Group A and Group B Services  of the Govt. of India.

Position / No. Of Post :-

• Assistant Commissioner – 2 Posts
• Assistant Engineer – 157 Posts
• Junior Time Scale – 17 Posts
• Administrative Officer – 9 Posts
• Assistant Professor – 2 Posts

Qualification :- 

Assistant Commissioner:

• Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Extension or Agronomy or Entomology or Nematology or Genetics and Plant Breeding or Agriculture Botany or Plant Biotechnology or Plant Pathology or Plant Physiology or Seed Science and Technology or Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry OR Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
• For Master’s Degree Holders :- Three years experience in the area of production and productivity in food or cash crops, For Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering Holders :- Four years experience in the area of production and productivity in food or cash crops

Assistant Engineer:

• Masters Degree in Science in one of the subject viz. Physics, Chemistry (Inorganic), Chemistry(Organic) from a recognized University OR Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical or Production from a recognized University or Institute. EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering OR
• Masters Degree in Science in one of subjects viz. Physics, Electronics, Physics with Electronics from a recognized University OR Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology in one of the discipline viz. Electrical, Electronics, Electronics and Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics and Instrumentation from a recognized University or Institute. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Electrical, Electronics, Electronics and Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics & Instrumentation

Junior Time Scale:

• Degree of a recognized University,  Diploma in Social Work or Labour Welfare or Industrial Relations or Personnel Management or Labour Law from a recognized University or Institution

Administrative Officer:

• Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University. EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in Administration, Accounts and Establishment, Legal or Vigilance matters in Central or State or Union Territory Government or Government Autonomous or Statutory Organisation or Central or State Public Sector Corporation or University.

Assistant Professor:

• Degree in Ayurveda Medicine from a University established by law or statutory board/faculty/examining body of Indian Medicine or equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970. A post Graduate Degree in the subject/specialty concerned included in the schedule of Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970.

Experience :- Freshers/Experienced

Age Limit :-

• 30 – 40 years
• The age limit shown against all items is the normal age limit and the age is relaxable for SC/STcandidates upto 5 years and upto 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. SC/ST/OBC candidates have to produce a caste certificate in prescribed proforma.

• Assistant Commissioner – Level- 07
• Assistant Engineer – Level- 07
• Junior Time Scale – Level- 10
• Administrative Officer – Level- 07
• Assistant Professor – Level- 10

Job Location :-  Across India

Selection Process :-

• The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by interview, will be UR/EWS-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PwBD-40 marks, out of the total marks of interview being 100.
• In cases where selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by interview, the candidate will have to achieve minimum level of suitability in their respective category at Interview stage.
